KING FAMILY VINEYARDS

If you’re getting married in Charlottesville, VA, there is likely a strong connection to the absolutely stunning views that Cville has to offer. Thankfully, there are countless options for where you can have your celebration - but one venue in particular does it all so perfectly: King Family Vineyards.

Nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains and only 20 minutes from UVA, the location is one of the most stellar perks of this venue. From a logistical standpoint, this makes everything so easy for you and your guests alike; you have your pick of countless lodging options in Charlottesville, without having to trek far at all. And, getting TO King Family Vineyards is such a breeze - there are no winding mountain roads up steep driveways to these views - you simply turn down a beautiful road and are met with ample parking right next to this gorgeous mountain range.

Location:

Outdoor wedding ceremony with the bride and groom holding hands, surrounded by seated guests and bridesmaids, at sunset in a scenic rural landscape with mountains and trees.

King Family is beautiful year-round, in all seasons, and in all weather. But one of the things that brings peace of mind is that there are OPTIONS for your day. If the weather decides to change things up, you have the option to bring your ceremony inside the stunning reception hall with its high ceilings, warm wooden flooring, and bright and clean energy. They also offer the covered veranda, so you can still be married with mountain views while also tucked away underneath the protection of the covered porch. Some venues only offer a tent as a backup plan - but at KFV, it’s all built in.

Options:

Wedding reception with round tables, white tablecloths, floral centerpieces, wooden chairs, a stone fireplace with candles and greenery, a wedding cake on a green-draped table, and string lights hanging from the ceiling.
Black and white photo of a newlywed couple walking on grass towards a large building with a metal roof, the bride holding a bouquet and wearing a long wedding gown with a veil, the groom in a suit.

Having a venue where you can get ready, have your ceremony, cocktail hour, AND reception all in the same place is a true blessing, to say the least. You don’t have to think about shuffling you two and your crew from place to place throughout any parts of the day. You simply arrive and are totally taken care of, thanks to their gorgeous getting ready suites (where you can also keep your things throughout the night), the covered veranda for Cocktail Hour, rolling hills for your ceremony, and large, open reception hall perfect for dinner and dancing the night away.

It’s All There:

Outdoor wedding ceremony setup with rows of white chairs on a green lawn, floral arrangements on large wooden barrels, and scenic mountains and trees in the background.

I married the love of my life at King Family Vineyards on October 29th, 2017 - so, this place is extra special to me! We had a wild storm blow through and shifted our ceremony indoors - and it was absolute perfection. The coziest candlelit ceremony along the grand fireplace surrounded by our family and friends - a total dream.

A Piece of My Heart:

A wedding ceremony inside a rustic venue with a stone fireplace and large clock, officiant and couple exchanging vows, surrounded by bridesmaids and groomsmen, guests seated and observing.

I love speaking on this place from both a personal and professional standpoint. As a KFV bride and a photographer, I know exactly what it feels like, how to make your magical mountain dreams come true, and how to navigate it all seamlessly. Let’s come together to plan your epic King Family wedding - it’s going to be so beautiful and such a blast!!
